Effect of elemental additions on hot-dipping galvanization behavior

چکیده

Hot-dip galvanization is a common corrosion-prevention technique for steel structures. The submerged in molten zinc bath, which forms coating on the steel’s surface. This provides barrier against corrosive elements. However, galvanized covering can still deteriorate, especially harsh environments. As consequence, several studies have been conducted to improve corrosion resistance of by adding metallic elements coating. aim this study look at how additions (Al addition up 1%, Bi Pb Sb (1% and 2%), Sn 5%, Zn-Bi-Pb 1% addition, Zn-Sb-Sn addition) affect hot dipping galvanization. microhardness, thickness, adherence, microstructure test, adhesion (Pull-Off test), rate are studied.
